It looks like Sony continue their traditional system slimming with the announcement of their new Playstation 3 Slim. The top-notch video game system will now retail for $300, while still maintaining the same feature as its bulkier counterpart. Gizmodo breaks down some of the juicy details:

The slim will come with a 120GB drive, and will be 32% smaller and 36% lighter than the standard PlayStation 3, as well as using 34% less power. The $300 price will apply to all PlayStation 3s starting tomorrow. The Slim will be available everywhere by the first week of September.

The 80GB PS3 (current model) will be discounted to $300, whereas the 160GB PS3 will be $400. There will be a new PS3 logo as well as modifications to the official name from PLAYSTATION 3 to PlayStation 3 as to not be shouting all the time. It’ll also have a BRAVIA Sync feature that’ll allow you to control the PS3’s XMB with your Sony TV remote as long as they’re connected via HDMI. And the TV will automatically turn off the PS3 when the TV goes off.

There’s also a vertical stand retailing for $24 on September 3. Whether or not you can stand it up vertically for long periods of time without the stand is unknown. Sony also says that they’re eliminating the feature

Just in case you have been stuck under a rock, American prep is back people!!! While surfing the net i came across this new line that embodies the look of classic American style, with the seersucker material, and the timeless ivy league look, with the small hints of crimson. This line is named after the number one ivy league school in America, "Harvard University." Some of the styles appear to clash, but it brings the look together. Matching is bland! It makes your style look as though u planed it out, when your style should be effortless. This is a great look and i will definitely be waiting to see more from Harvard University.

In the hopes of changing the game, Gucci is opening several pop-up stores. I say pop-up meaning the store will stay open for only 1-2 weeks at each location, and host 6-7 "tastemaker" events. And get this, the pop-up stores will be specializing in sneakers! I love when people realize that there is no box to think outside of , and come up with different ideas. this will definitely bring more appeal to this label that even i once thought was played out. NEW YORK — Gucci is hoping its temporary stores leave a lasting impression.

Like other luxury retailers in the recession, Gucci is looking for high-impact, lower-cost methods of generating interest in the brand, especially among style leaders who may not be moved by conventional forms of advertising.
Gucci Icon-Temporary is that method. The flash sneaker store will touch down in six or seven locations around the world where tastemakers gather, such as Art Basil Miami Beach, staying open for two or three weeks in each spot. The first stop on the tour will be Crosby Street in SoHo on Oct. 23. Other stops will include London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Gucci Icon-Temporary units will feature 18 exclusive sneaker styles — 16 for men and two for women. Incorporating classic Gucci design elements such as the GG logo and a stylized version of the Gucci red-and-green web detail, each shoe has an embroidered “Limited Edition” label inside and a silver or gold metal dog tag hanging from the laces. Leather tags on shoe laces can be customized and embossed with a shopper’s initials.
In addition to the Limited Edition shoes, Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, collaborated with DJ, music producer and sneaker enthusiast Mark Ronson on the design of Gucci Ronson sneakers. A new Gucci Ronson version will be introduced at every leg of the itinerant project. Icon-Temporary sneakers are priced from $500 to $1,400, and Gucci Ronson shoes, $500 to $600.

After Udoka figured out how to pay the parking meter we he hit up Cyclone's happy hour! I know we were in there longer then a hour and a 1/2, but the drinks were good as usual ( I officially stamp them as having the best best margaritas in Houston) oh yea the food is good too. So when we left we took a tour of the museum district when Udoka decided to run onto some elementary schools yard and attempt to jump on a paper mashay bull, unsuccessfully! sorry no pics of that one guys... but we ended up back at her spot at the Mosaic were me and Noble V took in the spectacular view she has! Oh yea the other girl is Udoka's miny me, Chiam, you can catch her at Lamar in the fall. I hope the schools ready for her...
